Implementation of 2030 Agenda in Bolivia

The goals of the Government of Bolivia for his water and sanitation sector are in part aligned with the Sustainable Development Goal 6 "Clean Water and Sanitation" (SDG-6) adopted by the United Nations in its 2030 Agenda. However, Bolivia lacks sufficient reliable data. Furthermore, data gaps and contradictory information are especially common in remote, rural areas. Therefore, German Development Cooperation is supporting the Government of Bolivia in using monitoring data, collected and processed according to standards, to shape evidence-based policy. The assignment consists in advice to improve processes in the data value chain. This includes innovative data collection related to access to water and sanitation (SDG 6.1 and 6.2) in pilot rural areas and descriptions of procedures and methods for statistical production. The assignment will be implemented over a period of 75 expert months, with effect from the date the contract is signed until 30.9.2021.
