81254838-Programme ‘Supporting Colombia in the Implementation of its NDC’ (NDC Policy Programme) — Strengthening MRV and M&E Systems

The programme aims to strengthen the coordination of the implementation of relevant climate mitigation and adaptation measures by the Colombian Ministry of Environment and other actors from the public and private sectors in the framework of Colombia's NDC. Priority areas include supporting sectoral and regional partners in integrating mitigation and adaptation measures into two agricultural value chains, improving institutional structures for the effective implementation of NDCs at national and subnational levels, and strengthening the MRV and M&E monitoring systems. In this context, the programme also contributes to reaching the goals of the national development strategy. In addition, the exchange and knowledge management with all IKI projects in Colombia and the BMU will be strengthened through a national ‘IKI Alliance’, programme experience will be fed into international forums and a contribution to the NDC's ambition increase linked to international funding.
