In close cooperation with the GIZ Team the successful consultant is responsible for the implementation of the project ‘ConNex — support of basic public services for vulnerable people, Iraq’. The services focus on improving the absorption capacities of public service providers in the fields of water and sanitation by introducing and implementing, among others, a system of key performance indicators and a water loss reduction strategy. The services address those institutions who are responsible for the provision of water and sanitation services. Since capacity development is the prime objective of this assignment, the consultant shall involve partners staff to the largest possible extent into all activities at all stages. The consultancy shall also respond to expectations formulated by the partners during the implementation of the measure. Therefore a high degree of flexibility shall therefore be reflected in the approach and methodology.
