81244323-TVET for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in Ghana

As part of the German-Ghanaian reform partnership, a new component on ‘Demand-oriented Technical and vocational education and training (TVET) for Renewable energy and Energy efficiency (RE/EE)’ was integrated into the existing technical cooperation program ‘Market entry in RE/EE for the productive sector in Ghana’. This new component aims at improving capacities for the development and implementation of demand-oriented modular RE/EE training programs. It thus contributes to meeting the growing demand for RE/EE specialists in Ghana. The TVET-component focuses on three central levers: 1) Promoting active participation of industry in the development, implementation and examination of vocational training courses on RE/EE; 2) Enhancing capacities of vocational training institutions for the implementation of the developed vocational training programs; 3) Improving the prerequisites for successful transition of the target group into vocational training and into (self-)employment.
