In the framework of the Lebanese German cooperation between the government of Lebanon and Germany, GIZ in close cooperation with the Lebanese partner ministry ‘Ministry of Social Affairs’ and municipal body"s in the Governorate of North Lebanon is implementing the ‘Local Development Programme for Deprived Urban Areas in North Lebanon’ (UDP-NL). As part of the UDP-NL Programme, GIZ in close collaboration with the Municipality of Tripoli intends to construct and establish a new Arts and Work Centre in Tripoli. The center should be a multifunctional building providing in- and outdoor space for cultural, social, civic and economic activities targeting specifically youth and women. The center should serve as a venue for events and should offer workspace for local non-government organizations as well as private and public entities and other civil organizations.
