The tendered assignment is part of the cooperation between GIZ and the Ministry of Economics and Finance (MEF) in the framework of the “Strengthening Public Finance and Decentralization Program” (ProDeF) in Mauritania, financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It will cover the support to 10 municipalities in the program's partner region in Mauretania with technical assistance to enhance their capacities in the areas of local revenue mobilization, citizen participation and employment promotion in the period 10/2019 — 09/2020. The consulting firm is expected to provide a pool of international/regional and national long-term and short-term experts: — a team leader (12 working months (WM)), — 1 long-term expert on local finances (7 WM), — 1 long-term expert on citizen participation (7 WM), — up to 2 short-term experts (pool) on local finances (3 WM).
