In context of the envisaged technical support for the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) the employment of international experts will advise on the Banking Supervision Reform Program of the bank. The objective of the assignment will be to assist the Banking Supervision Department of the CBE to develop and apply more risk-based supervision practices that are in line with international best practices and better identify and address the risks which the Egyptian banking sector is facing. Based on a detailed gap analysis the project will focus on supporting 2 critical areas of the regulatory and supervisory reform process at the CBE: — implementation of components to improve Banking Supervision under the Basel III regulatory framework, — establishing a Macro-Prudential Supervision function.
