81224190-Implementation of the Component "Commercialisation, Marketing and Market information of the Green Innovation Centres for the Agriculture and Food Sector" in Togo

The assignment forms part of the programme “Green Innovation Centres for the Agriculture and Food sector” funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and currently implemented by GIZ in 15 countries. The programme has several objectives, inter alia, increasing the income of small farming enterprises, boosting employment and improving food supply in the target rural areas. To this effect a market system approach is being implemented in Togo that focuses on supporting the development of soya and cashew value chains through interventions on their production, processing and marketing links. Groundnut is also targeted, but the activities focus more on its production-enhancing role in farmer systems as well as on reducing aflatoxin-related risks.
