81221720-Reduction of Electricity Losses in the Distribution Grids of the Utilities in the ECOWAS Region

The present assignment is part of the cooperation between the Secretariat of the West African Power Pool (WAPP) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in the framework of the regional programme “Promotion of a Climate-Friendly Electricity Market in the ECOWAS Region (ProCEM)”, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The programme supports WAPP as well as the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) and the ECOWAS Regional Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERERA) in various areas. The duration of ProCEM is 3 years (01/2018 to 12/2020). The present assignment shall provide technical assistance to the WAPP-Secretariat and its member utilities for the reduction of technical and commercial distribution losses in the period of 09/2018 to 08/2020.
