## Leistungsumfang

To support measurable progress in the implementation of the national sustainable urban development policy (AHSE 2036) and the urban related Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), GIZ is implementing the second phase of the technical cooperation project Sustainable Intermediate Cities (CIS II). The project focuses on strengthening: 1) Multi-actor cooperation for the implementation of AHSE 2036 and NDC; 2) Framework conditions for mobilizing funds for climate-friendly urban development, including green recovery; and 3) Capacities of the cities with laboratories for the climate-friendly implementation of AHSE 2036 and NDC. Primary target group is six municipalities as well as the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (MIDUVI), Ministry of Environment (MAAE), Ministry of Finance (MEF) and the National Development Bank (BDE) amongst others. CIS II seeks support provided by pools of technical short-term expert which can be deployed flexibly according to the demands of the project.
