## Leistungsumfang

With its special initiative One World — No Hunger, BMZ is making a global contribution to the eradication of hunger and malnutrition amongst rural people in developing countries. Irrespective of farm size and the farmers income situation, soil is generally not managed sustainably, accelerating soil degradation and reducing food security. While some good soil protection and rehabilitation (SPR) practices do exist, it has not proved possible to implement inclusive and sustainable SPR approaches to date. The objective of the global project ‘Soil Protection and Soil Rehabilitation for Food Security’ as part of this special initiative is: approaches for sustainable soil protection and rehabilitation have been implemented at scale in selected partner countries. These are: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Madagascar and Tunisia. The strategic aim is to achieve the most inclusive impact possible by adopting proven and upgraded strategies for SPR of degraded soil while also improving the regulatory and socio-economic framework. The overall objective of this tender is to conduct an external review in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions and to identify possible readjustments providing strategic guidelines.
