## Leistungsumfang

The agricultural sector is central to the performance of the Ethiopian economy and directly supports 85 percent of the population. Hence, agribusiness development is a core component of the country's development strategy. Agro-industries account for the largest share of manufactured goods. To further grow the industry, there is an urgent need to enhance skills of prospective employees to match the demand of employers. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) with co-funding by the European Union (EU) has commissioned GIZ to enhance the skills of youth and women in catchments of the Integrated Agro-Industrial Parks of Ethiopia. The contractor will be responsible for implementing a cooperative training model together with the Ethiopian education sector and the agro-industry. Moreover, the contractor will be implementing short-term trainings to increase employment perspectives for youth and women.
