## Leistungsumfang

The KP, combating smuggling and enhancing the livelihood aspects of ASM in the Mano River Union. Extractive resources continue to play a vital role in the MRU Region, the exploitation of these resources contributing for decades to the development of these countries. Efforts are being made to better manage ASM and fight smuggling. The countries recognize the link between benefits to communities and stability. Additionally, international standards like the KP, OECD Due Diligence and the EU conflict minerals regulation result in increased regulation. The German Development Cooperation and the European Union, under the supervision of the MRU secretariat, support the implementation of the Kimberley Process in the Mano River Union at the regional and national level, combat smuggling of minerals and enhance the development and livelihood aspects of artisanal mining. This consultancy aims to support this.
